Photos from my visit to Marrakech in May 2013. First time in Africa and first time in a predominantly Muslim country. What a world apart. I flew in from Madrid, and even though I don't know Spanish there was a communal wonderment on the plane when we crossed the threshold from the Mediterranean over into Africa. I went by myself with no real plan and just tried to embrace the place; it's the trip I'm proudest of.
